Giedrė Mockeliūnaitė — What Blooms Before Dawn

What Blooms Before Dawn unfolded as a temporary space suspended between dreaming and awakening, where the boundaries between imagination and the tangible began to dissolve. At the intersection of fantasy and reality, the exhibition explored how memory, emotion, and perception reshape the way the world is experienced and remembered.

Bringing together an international selection of artists working across painting and sculpture, the exhibition presented works that moved between observation and imagination, exploring themes of transformation, impermanence, and nostalgia.

Among the exhibiting artists was Giedrė Mockeliūnaitė, whose expressive abstract paintings investigate memory, intuition, and emotional landscapes. Her work contributed to the exhibition’s exploration of the space between the visible and the imagined, inviting viewers to engage with painting as an intuitive and deeply personal experience.

Curated and presented by SASIORN AND SAAN Lab, the exhibition reflected the platform’s commitment to fostering international artistic dialogue and supporting contemporary voices through thoughtfully curated exhibitions and cross-cultural collaborations.

The exhibition invited visitors to wander through worlds shaped by memory, perception, and fleeting moments, where the familiar gradually transformed into something unexpected.
